"Boy of the streets"
by blondemama97
I once knew a boy raised in the hood, could take the hood out of his brain but not his veins.
He was like two people or one with an alter ego.
I tried to keep him safe from the streets by making my home his own but i couldn't take the streets out of him.
The pit in my stomach
The feeling of sorrow, not knowing where he was on that stormy night.
The streets more powerful than his love for me.
The bullet i was told came out of nowhere, it hit him straight on
the blood that was pouring all over the street, he didn't know it was his own.
Rest in peace, my child of the streets.
