"A Cancer"
  by cado astrum

There is a cancer in my lungs
I smoke it up and close my eyes
As I exhale dreams are realized
I cough and wretch but I’m not done yet.

There is a cancer inside my guts
Each day I eat a little more up
I poison myself with food and drink
But the hunger will not retreat.

There is a cancer inside my brain
It jumbles my thoughts
It punishes my head
Tears come easily from the pain it misunderstands.

I've never seen this one before. I'm quite partial to the ending on this one. Words chosen very well.
