I’ve decided to go on a diet,
Cuz my walk with Christ is kinda weak
I’ve tried other regimens,
But they’ve all proven kind of bleak.

I need results fast…
No need to consult the pastor.
I know what must be done
It’s now God’s glory that I’m after.

I must first, deny myself…
Rejecting all that is false
And with each new dawn,
I must take up my cross

I must then follow Christ,
Luke 9 & 24
He’s awaits my arrival
Now I must walk through the door

See,
Many are overweight,
But only few are trying to lose it
We all need this diet,
But only few will choose it.

Run as fast as you can,
Place you body under subjection
Tone-up your relationship,
And strengthen your connection (1 Corinthians 9:24)

Commitment is never easy
And your might will be tested,
But a righteous harvest remains,
For those who stand…Uncontested (Hebrews 12:11)

Flesh is attracted to worldly things,
I must be fit to ignore the call…
If embrace my diet, and adhere to my plan,
I’ll eventually watch the weight fall.
