PhotoBen750 A Survivor: Learning to be a Lover
by PhotoBen750

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I was born a fighter
Now I am learning
To be a lover

Born under the gun
I have always been
On the run

Fighting to survive
Struggling
Every step of the way

Just praying
For the day
I'll be free
To be
Who I was meant
To be

All I want to do
Is fulfill
My destiny

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I was born a fighter
Now I am learning
To be a lover

A lover like no other
Taken it
Higher and higher

Seeking to keep
It on fire
Achieving all your
Desire

I know I have made
A lot of mistakes
Along the way

Now I am working
To make them
All right

Correcting my ways
And taking responsibility
Seeking civility

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I was born a fighter
Now I am learning
To be a lover

Please excuse
The hardness in me
I am still learning
How to
Live appropriately

Striking a balance
Between myself
And the world
Achieving harmony

I will never be
perfect
But I am willing
And able
To strive
For what is right
And do what it takes

I have
Heart and soul
A strong spirituality
Deep desire
And conviction

There is nothing
That will stand
In my way
Of victory

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I am no victim
I am a survivor

I was born a fighter
Now I am learning
To be a lover

I was born a fighter
Now I am learning
To be a lover
