"Advice to the Ladies"
  by Browngrl86

what they really want from us?
like DMX and Sisqo,
think they slick
like a giant can of Crisco,
but the games is played out
like Jeri curls and disco.
risk cold
hard cash
cuz the heart on your sleeve,
but the one dat messed up
made you a believer,
bashing males was your fever,
the opposite of June Cleaver.
I understand your beef
trusted your heart with some thiefs
some doozies,
but before you grab the oozie,
chillax
cuz da facts
say there’s some good ones out back.
don’t lose hope
be patient
just cope,
think back
what did you do to attract
so many dopes?
is you watchin too many soaps?
done let the good ones float
on by
like ghosts,
couldn’t see ‘em
but they were there,
unaware,
and unwilling to see,
that facades ain’t always
what they turn out to be.
he was too pretty,
most pretty boys play,
and a thug is drama
waitin to happen any day.
you said never trust a dude
with a big heart and a smile,
he ain’t livin wild
or livin foul,
just an L7
to cramp my style.
newsflash honey,
yo style is vile!
don’t settle for just anybody
within a radius mile.
know you deserve to be treated
with the upmost respect
like Aset
and eliminate these fools
that you’ll later regret.

Lines are wicked---"but the games is played out like Jheri Curls and disco", "That facades ain't always what they turn out to be". I like.
