you give it crimson kisses,

it throbs excitedly.

a moment of rhapsody and beauty

and blissful tears frame our faces
like portraits throughout time,
documenting this state of mind

time to drift back down
from our intimate cloud
rejoin the crowd,
and as we reluctantly descend
not wanting it to end,

my tears have become bitter
