Living beyond duality and sacrificing what should be my reality for a slice

Kinda hard when you don't know who your daddy is...

It's a trip when a female's survival instincts deduct a fee
leaving only the male chromosome or so we'd like to think
wait for destiny's cue before you blink and block the blessings
unconciously distressing and instead of requesting assistance

chivalry is dead because we killed it ladies
chivalry is dead because we willed it ladies
chivalry is dead because we push back w ith resistance

So mannish in mannerisms
but never in thought
impossible to be anything or anyone other than
You
And since we're not men
what's a brotha to do?

evolution is the rebuttal
survival is the instinct
pride is the struggle
despair and loneliness are winning by leaps and bounds

American families tossed into lost and founds
donation bins heaped to the brim with cast-asides
femininity is the birthright
raped and pillaged

Hand extended for assistance
this is how humanity begins anew
