"Babycakes (Daydream)"
  by Stargurl07*

Babycakes
sits on her haunches
eyes focused on
another of life's
little wonders
in her own world
world of wonder
Babycakes
sits and wonders
about girlie girl dresses
climbing stairs two at a time
latch key living
and what passes
for innocence
Babycakes
sits on her haunches
eyes focused
some where outside of
the thin film
of the present
Babycakes
wonders
why with all that is going on
why don't people
take the time
to sit thinking
'bout thinking
'bout thinking
about
sitten and thinking
and wondering
what we can do to make this
a more thoughtful world
