Verse 3 02:51-03:14

Chorus 3:15-3:38

Verse 4 3:39-Fade Out

(Chorus) 00:24-00:48

I know one day from this earth I’ll be gone
But I hope that my words and ideas will live on
That one day a kid finds my CD and bumps my songs
And begins to believe he can succeed
As long as he stays strong
So he passes it along to his friends who begins to listen
And slowly over time regain their confidence
See I make music to try and help change the world
Maybe not for you and me
But every boy and girl

Verse 1 00:49-01:12

It’s sad to see a society
Where the rich get whatever they want
While those in poverty stay in need/
They struggle and hustle just to try and make ends meet
While their kids stomachs are empty
There’s no food for them to eat/
No heat no lights
They can’t see
They can’t see a reason to believe
In the stories of a higher being/
No reason to believe there’s someone out there who cares
Cause when they ask people for help
All they get in return are empty stares

(Chorus) 01:13-01:36

I know one day from this earth I’ll be gone
But I hope that my words and ideas will live on
That one day a kid finds my CD and bumps my songs
And begins to believe he can succeed
As long as he stays strong
So he passes it along to his friends who begin to listen
And slowly over time regain their confidence
See I make music to try and help change the world
Maybe not for you and me
But every boy and girl

Verse 2 01:37-02:25

Hey there kids listen here
I know sometimes the world can seem like too much to bare/
So when it does
I want you to take your headphones and put em in your ear
And just let the beat drown out all your fears/
Let the melody heal your pain
Let the rhythm slowly calm your rage/
Get in tune with the harmony
And let go of your hate
Cause no matter how tall the walls
Music can be your escape/
Poetry can set you free and take you to another place
A place where it’s not considered weak to have feelings
Where your emotions and words
Are now your greatest weapon/
Where wars aren’t fought any more with swords
But instead with a pen and the ink is your ammunition/
In this world instead of a pistol
A pen could be just as lethal
So when you get upset
Put on some gloves or pick up a pen & pad
And take your thoughts and write them down
This will help stop you from making a decision
You might regret with a consequence you can’t afford
No matter your wealth

(Chorus) 02:26-02:50

I know one day from this earth I’ll be gone
But I hope that my words and ideas will live on
That one day a kid finds my CD and bumps my songs
And begins to believe he can succeed
As long as he stays strong
So he passes it along to his friends who begin to listen
And slowly over time regain their confidence
See I make music to try and help change the world
Maybe not for you and me
But every boy and girl

Verse 3 02:51-03:14

Hey kids you can come out and play
All the drug dealers and gang bangers have been taken away
This is something I would love to say
But sadly I cant at least not today
Until we all get together and try to make a change
Cause no matter how much you pray
For a better tomorrow
You have to take the 1st step and try to help yourself
When life hands you lemons make lemonade
And sell it on your block so you can get paid
See what I’m really trying to say is
No opportunity is ever really lost
Cause if you work hard
One day you can be your own boss
But even though you have
Doesn’t mean you have to floss
Cause even though you’re on top of the world now
No one’s going to show pity
And help you up when you fall down
See wearing a king’s crown doesn’t give you the right
To treat the world as your personal playground
So act like a man so they wont see you as a child
Live with honor so one day you may die with pride

(Chorus) 3:15-3:38

I know one day from this earth I’ll be gone
But I hope that my words and ideas will live on
That one day a kid finds my CD and bumps my songs
And begins to believe he can succeed
As long as he stays strong
So he passes it along to his friends who begin to listen
And slowly over time regain their confidence
See I make music to try and help change the world
Maybe not for you and me
But every boy and girl

Verse 4 3:39-Fade Out
