His little crunched up face
With round teardrops
And wrinkles that won't set in place
For five or six decades
Pleads for me
To recognise his total sadness
Just a fleeting, childhood sadness
Kissed away in a moment
In a moment
He'll be tall enough
To go on the rides
Alone
At that great height
Kisses are humbled by the gravity of adulthood
And fall,
Powerless as dust
