Up above is heaven
White and pure
Below is hell
Fiery and cruel.

The choice is simple
Is it not?
Pain for the evil
Joy for the naught.

How pure and white
The ignorant are
For ignorance is bliss after all.

Fire and light
Illuminate the way
For that is where
Knowledge is waged.

To be ignorant and happy
Would be such a retreat
Stupid forever

Heaven has many children’s toys
But so few little girls and boys.

And hell has all the finest books and art
Poets, philosophers, and men apart.

To burn eternally as a scholar
Or airily play as a saint.
