It's been awhile I must say
But I'm glad that it has come down to this day

I reminisce on what we use to share
I could confide in you and you wouldn't give me a crazy stare

You listened to my dreams and ambition
And this is definitely what I've been missing

Someone like you to just let me get it all out
Even put up with me wen I scream and shout

Oh and what about when I made those bad decisions?
You encouraged me to acquire drive and optimism

Without you it would have been rough getting by
I mean you were the first one I thought of when I wanted to cry

Wouldn't say nothing just always had a listening ear
Sometimes silence is all a person needs to hear

What can I say you've been a really good friend
I hope my pen will be with me till the end.
