"Deception"
  by Elise

Only angles have wings…
And although everybody dreams…
It seems that the things seen…
All revolve around a particular theme…
Life and death…
Lies and the secrets kept…
Deception…the Devil in flesh…
Double lies that are accepted but yet…
Nothings really accepted except conformity…
The media in cahoots with the government flashing vivid images of uniformity…
And never clarity…
It’s all apparent see…they…
Mark truth with transparencies and these…
Are only normal thieves…
The things they use to deceive…
One perceives as elementary…
Teacher’s tease with black hearts polluting these elementarys…
So now a youths lost…
With it’s elders worst off…
Starting at the initiation of life…
Is where we [as a people] have to make a sacrifice…
Money, cars, and clothes Vs. losing self in droves…
Driven stir crazy beautifully…
Minding mine by being true to me….
Who ever it is I might happened to embody cuz…
Appearances aren’t always what they seem to be….
You see they appear one way to divert vision and diverge another…way…
Yes this is the American way…
For ignorance a great toll is placed upon to pay…
But when poor as dirt or dirt poor respectively…
What is one to do….
And…umm…who is one to run to…
With…these modern day concerns brought about by YOU…
The people in charge…
Who charge high taxes on low class developments…
Medalling…
Your blue collar killers…
Filling our neighborhood funeral centers…
YOU…with your white collar crimes…
And “LITTLE” white lies….
YOU with the money and political ties…
YOU against little ole US…
The minorities majority…

woah! you hittin -hard- on this one! i'm coming to love your writing already. the closest i have found to my own views in female form. i -love- the rhyming scheme and how you don't let it go until you've wrung every last line out of it that you can. likin the double entendres and wordplay "The people in charge… Who charge high taxes on low class developments… " haven't met anyone else who consistently writes like this. the double use of charge, followed by the contrast of high and low demand...

Very powerful indeed! Appearances aren’t always what they seem to be…. You see they appear one way to divert vision and diverge another…way…/Yes this is the American way… " Nicely laid out...and when you went on to discuss "blue collar killers," and "white collar crimes," --it fit in so well...Very well done!

Powerful! This needed to be said! I like the way you devised this! I mean the world is screwed up and it's not getting any better! I give this a ten! Continue to stay focused in all you do, and keep up the good work!
