My daddy
You’ve been through the storms
You’ve seen people come and people go
And you often gave more then you received
A strong man you are
Wise and a heart that’s pure
You could be stern
But you always mean good
Compassion that supersedes the norm
And a father to all
Sometimes the road is lonely
And you have no one to turn to
Some days your spirits extremely low
But you push past what you feel
To make sure your sheep are okay
Often times feeling unappreciated
But yet you still give
Been betrayed by so many
But you show what it means to truly forgive
On this day dad
I want you to know
That you are truly appreciated
Not just as a Pastor
Or
A Bishop
But a father
And a true man of God
Know that you are blessed
And the sacrifices you have made
Have not gone un-noticed
For if you look real good
You will see
Those that are here
Are truly for you
They love and appreciate you
And all that you do
I know at times we may bump heads
But that’s only because I’m a mini you
And when I grow up
I want to be just like you
I soak up your words
Try to apply your teaching
Your strength is remarkable
And that’s because God walks with you
I see the sadness deep in your eyes
But today daddy
And every day of my life
I want you to know
I love you
And I am who I am because of you
God is always with you
He will never forsake you
And he hears your prayers
That resonates from your soul
And he will continue to bless you
And allow you to rise above it all
