Unarmed
Unless the heart in my chest is considered my firearm,
Label it a threat of determination,
This hatred and segregation,
And how I’m facing and chasing
A theme of immortal powers in my dreams,
Label my best as effort,
Thy Sheppard,
Thy skies of rain and pain
For 365 days and nights,
365 days of blames and walking canes,
365 days of a fight within the shadows,
I battle with a fierce tussle,
Wrestle the cause,
Grapple with criticism and cause,
Cause the attributes of life to have cause;
These bars of immobilization,
The restrictions of conviction,
Confidence and certainty,
Certainly my sincerity is in doubt
And disasters are the words spoken silently from my mouth,
And my ground is the sounds of the earth,
I walk these lines until I walk off the edge of the earth.
