Category Glossary

Acrostic
A series of lines or verses in which the first, last, or other particular letters when taken in order spell out a word, phrase, etc.

Anger
Release what makes you angry and upset. Write about what bothers you the most.

Broken Heart
Bad relationships, break-ups, lost a love one, or a disappointment.

Emotions
Anything that you feel inside. Pain, happiness, anger and more.

Erotic
Very sensual and sexual. Share your intimate side.

Family
All about your family! Speak on your mom, dad, siblings, cousin or extended family.

Fantasy
Write about your wildest dreams or just pretend about anything you want.

Feeling Good
Write about why you're in a good mood. Why you're feeling great.

Foreign Language
Write in your native tongue! French, Spanish and more!

Gothic/Lithium
Dark, dreary and sad writing. Be mysterious. Have fear.

Haiku
A major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons.

Hate
Write about things you hate or don't like.

Humor
Show your witty side. Make'em laugh and think at the same time.

Inspirational
Create something that inspires you and others. Give hope and strength to those who ma need it.

Life
Write about your life experiences, everday happenings. Good or bad.

Love
Express your love for that special someone.....or something?

Metaphysical
Concerned with abstract thought or subjects, as existence, causality, or truth.

Mourning
Loss of a loved one or loss of someone, or something, important. Express how you feel about who/what you are missing!

Peace
Write about peaceful situations and scenery. Friendships and happy endings.

Philosophical
Relating to or based on a system of philosophy. Characteristic of a philosopher, as in equanimity, enlightenment, and wisdom.

Politics
Speak about anything political going on around the world. Tell us how you feel about what is going on with in your country!

Positive/Abstract
Positive and unique. No rhyme or reason.

Reality
Write it how you see it. Don't be politically correct. Write what people are afraid to say.

Spirtual
Get deep with your spirituality. Express your beliefs and faith.

Spoken Word
Form of music or artistic performance in which lyrics, poetry, or stories are spoken rather than sung. Spoken-word is often done with a musical background, but emphasis is kept on the speaker.

War
Almost like a battle. You can also use this for actual fighting, historical wars, past and present.
