Rest In Peace: 1958-2009


Life’s always been a Thriller knowin’ you
never fearin’ the men in our mirrors
you were the Icon of our dreams
spreadin’ joy across Never Never Lands’
never ever lettin’ us forget our Human Nature
you were there
like nursery rhymes ridin’ our fears
nothin’ about you was Off The Wall
actually a bit Fly Away
‘cause you took our worries far away
joe wasn’t father enough to keep you away
but still, you Remember’d The Times

removing our stereotypes with
records, cd's & stereo tapes
so the world could just Jam,
with rhythm to sound quality
not stoppin’ ‘til we get enough
we’d be moved
Rockin’ With’cha glittery style back-and-forth
like moon walks from Street Walkers
tellin’ us to just Beat It
we remember you
growin’ up faster than
hit records down at Motown
sadly we knew you weren’t always livin’
an “Ain’t No Sunshine” life
but that’s all you gave us
like the world was masculine
and you were our P.Y.T.

always Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin,’
don’t worry about what you been through
though, even grown men can be childlike
at times so feel us, we Wanna Be Where You Are
Rockin’ Robins in Heaven and
tell God you were Another Part of Me,
of us I mean
Just Good Friends of ours
so He’ll know:
“You Were Not Alone”
guess we understood you more
than tracks revealed
yeah! Dangerous, but you taught us
to be Bad
you Got To Be There for us
always, and yes You Can Cry On our Shoulders
we don’t care

let your pains just Be A Little Bit Of You
that makes the man in you
better even makes the beautiful
harmonies you do
and yeah maybe the world carries a grudge
but we as your fans don’t
we remember what you had to go through
and what you brought us
many times the Greatest Shows On Earth
and yeah everybody’s Somebody’s Fool
but love is foolish and we don’t act
without you,
it’s Music and Me we listen to
so it’s music in me we have
basically that’s just music for two
like we Got Forevers’
to hold onto
like eras of happiness that go ‘round
like platforms on Soul Train
believe us when we tell you
Dear Michael know that we
all love you

‘cause you healed us
you Healed The World
no-matter if we were Black and White
so please Keep The Faith
you’re Gone Too Soon
you'll always be
remembered.
