Silver bells
twinkling like
intuition aiding me
….slooowww
I feel compression,
chest confessing:
Heart aches can break,
bringing
sounds of angels singing
…Fall lall la lall
(I’ll catch you)
but can you weight [wait]
for mind to find
balance as I battle challenge
of gift giving
in THIS season of love
having opened coal before bestowed
I now clutch gold
My goodies I hoard
Jingling bells,
ringing alarms,
red noses un-charmed
…Cold; and not warm
Simply sleigh [slay]-ing me
all the night long,
caroling dung, celebrate-shuns
when Santa don’t come
Twisting with chest-nuts
roasting on an open fiya (lmao)
and Jack Frost stealing
my glow, sometimes I don’t know
I grinch tight fisted
Eye windows a bit misted
Feeling he might have been snowed,
shot his heavy load?
Oh ho ho
I love you though
So I allow fairies to
outfit me in Manolo-ed twinkle toes
looking for mistletoe
so I could finally
let my love show
Silent nights clenching
Souls confessing
its time to open gifts
No second guessing
Take me
I’m yours
This brought smiles and frantic thoughts of how quickly time is passing by. This will be upon us before we can blink twice. Poor Santa getting gift jacked by those red noses no doubt. He should know better than to bring the tricked out sleigh to the hood...I suppose next time he'll invest in those flying pits and leave Rudolph and the gang home...lol
Could this be on, getting to the very essence of what the true 'gift' is.. by looking past the all the glitter and wrappings that so often make one have, or want, to guess and second guess. That it all comes down to something simple. Even the way you wrote this- the wordplay and writing throughout.. to end in a sweet, simple, straightforward ending. So well done! I'm still dwelling on quite afew interpretations, so i might be off on how what i wrote earlier, it's just, that meaning struck me. Al... [+]more

I'm still dwelling on quite afew interpretations, so i might be off on how what i wrote earlier, it's just, that meaning struck me. Also, your wordplay was really good. The "fall", "catch", "weight", "balance" bit really gripped me.. relativity even in that, came across clearly. The emotional expression in this is perfect for the tone and way this was written- not overwhelming nor understated, more subtle. Well done! [-]collapse
