"Greeting people (The Night Life)"
  by Haimaj

She exhale the smoke
from her last cigarette
Then looks to the dark sky
and put on her lipstick
Agonizing pain from long standing
in the stillettos she wears.
Scuffed gator skin, worn down heels
Once upon a time, they were her favorite pair.
She been through ups and downs
throughout her ten year career.
She knows no love
She has no fear.

"Aaaaah yes"
She greets her first client of the night.
He's a regular
So he already knows the price.
This man she nickednamed Tre
Three inches,three minutes
and then on his way.
Three hundred dollars
She made the rent today.

" Ooooooh God"
She sees a new client ahead
By the way he walks
She know that he's good in bed.
Knowing this makes her aware instead of afraid.
Because he could only be there for one or two reasons
Either abnormally huge or he might have aids.
So she thinks quick on what to do
As he approaches she directs him to the new girl
and says "her prices cheeper boo."

"Aaaaaw damn"
She sees two teenagers coming with hesitation
This aggrivated her
because she's not in the mood for negotiating.
"It's my cousin birthday, come down on the price please"
"Ooooh what the hell"
She gives a discount then proceed to get dirt on her knees.
While his eyes was closed from pleasure
She went in his pocket and stole an additional fee.

" Hhhhhhm?"
The next guy took her by surprise
He had good looks, well dressed, less stress
But refused to look in her eyes.
[ silence]
"Uuuhm, do you... is this where I...uuh what do I pay?"
She smiled and said "Don't be nervous baby it's ok".
She knew this was new for him and exactly what he wanted to say.
Finally looking in his eyes she said "Now I understand"
She knew what his pain was by trying to be a man.
With cleverness she told him it was his lucky night.
Because he was gonna get the best she had to give for free.
It lasted quick and it truly was handled right.
He told her "That was something great to give to me"
And she said.........
"No problem i'm sure when you find someone special you'll be
happy you saved your virginity."

Aaaaaah another night's work

What a great saga. This was like a scene out of a movie, or a documentary. Women of the night, just like others who find themselves in unsavory lifestyles, have feels and emotions just like the rest of us. You showed that her great instincts have kept her alive, and with the right training who knows what her life could be.

I like how you gave a lot of details..I kinda played it like a movie in my head when i read it. I dig the flow of it and it was nicely put together

I've said it before, but my fav poetry are the story formats. And this did not disappoint. Loved your take on it... showing her perspective, without judgement or disrespect. Especially enjoyed your description of her shoes... what a nice touch. Loved this... or more loved the way you TOLD this. Showcasing your talent right here. Great write.
