"Have We Met?"
  by AzIz

Have We Met?

Slowwwlyyyy, converting me to believe in reincarnated souls...
Living past lives, somehow intertwined
Envisioning reading your scribe in an illustrious collection,
along side Shakespheare
Or perhaps
Your writings were conveyed via play...
as I sat captivated
of your creation
Engrossed in how closely I relate...
or simply was impressed
by the sensually soothing serenade
of words written on like lines of Cassandra Wilson's melodies

His fluency of expression raises an artistic affection,
infecting a thread of my cognizance...that he exists

Seemingly too soon to be moved or swooned
Questioning trickery of my own mind's perception
Reluctant reasoning of de'ja vu'
Compels me to inquire...
Have I met u?

This was on a Deja Vu/Lake House sort of vibe-a dash of romance--a sprinkle of nostalgiac tease--and the rest melted in place just right
