Healing Takes Time
In memory of Kenneth Dewayne Andrews




They say “God makes no mistakes”, and “Thy will be done”
Words not easily understood when you have a lost a son
Up to heaven we look for a peace of mind
Knowing in our hearts Healing will take time

With his infinite wisdom God has taken another angel to his home
One day he was with us laughing and joking, but now he is gone
Our prayers seem to go unanswered, we think this world so unkind
Be we know deep down in our hearts this Healing will take time

This pain we feel is unlike any other
The pain of a son taken from his mother
The joy when the doctor said he was all mine
We scream “Oh God Please Help Me”, He says “My child healing will take some time”

It seems we never had the chance to say goodbye
As we close the coffin lid we will have a good cry
We look to the heavens for just a sign
A sign to say he made it in, the clouds seem to wink and say “Healing takes time”
