"Heart song"
  by Forty

My heart wants to know if its worth it to trade loves solo song in for a duet.
This solo song, tried and true, has been mine for so long I sometimes find it collaborated in my mind with other melodies.
I have felt it in the blues, given it my soul in gospel, beat it with the base of hip-hop, cried it out in country, screamed it in rock, bopped with it in pop, rhythmically swayed my hips to it in raggae, I've even put a high pitch hum to it classically, but to share it with someone else is something I'm just not sure that I can do again, at least not yet.
You see the melodies I've been hearing lately are all one song.
Although they sound different and some even contain different lyrics, they all play on the same hook. You can speed it up, slow it down, or remix it, but if the words are still the same the song will never change.
Which leaves me to wonder, "Is there someone out there who will harmonize with me?"
Because the words to my love song, simple as they may be, are heart felt and timeless, and when you can't carry a tune this tune will always be there to carry you.
My song is easy to relate to, but has yet to be given a title.
I don't sing it to make a name for myself, but the passion and pleasure it brings are just not enough as a solo.
My heart's song yearns for unison.
I hope my search for that perfect partner is worth it.

This is BEAUTIFUL! I have such a passion for music so you are truly speaking my language in this piece. The desire for that ultimate duet, two souls singing in unison...a perfect harmony. I absolutely loved this. You really did your thing here, Lady- Much Love & Respect. Most definitely a 10 & favorite for me.
