Every since I waz young I waz taught By the streets
I learned you had to use what you got in order to eat
My mother was an addict and my father was never home
I never got to spend and time with my dad because he was always gone
I thought school was my way out, had dreams of being a teacher,
Until that day my virginity was stolen behind the school bleachers
Every since that day in high school I can't forgive princple Nelson for what he did
He deprived me of all my chances of ever having kids
When I got older I decided to get my GED
And now i'm the first woman in my family to go to college at age 23
My mother died of an overdose and my father has a new family of his own
He has changed alot now that mother is gone
I came from a broken family I was a poor, broke ass kid
And what the doctor told me was a lie, I now have two kids
My father never wanted to accept the fact that mother gone
So he robbed a store and is now living in a cell
From what i've told you my life was a living hell
but i overcame this shit and pretty soon i'll here the church bell.
( THis was a story of a woman who stayed strong)
