the crowd, the music, my security faded away
when I saw how close you felt you needed to be

I hated her right away
i didn't know how to act or what to say

but soon the room seemed miles away

along with the background
got to watch as your chemistry

and scorchingly made most of the sound
party ppl now looking around
whispering about the obvious desire you both seemed to have to be elsewhere

I wondered what I had left you missing
and what it was about her that left it so easy for you to dismiss me
at our party
