Holding death’s hand
My body
Weakens
With every step I take
As my blood
Drains from me
Light-headedness
And dizziness takes over me
The room begins to spin
My legs buckle down
For I am weak in the knees
I weakened
I lay before I lose a step….
My lungs
Losing air
With every breath I take
Come and end
What is left of my existence
My heart
Decreasing with every beat
Rhythmic sound of defeat
Pumping and thumping
Til it had its last heartbeat
My skin…
Losing all the color
Pale…stale
Thinned and fragile
Showing death
Has reached my door step
My essence
Slowly fading
Removing itself
Now that my skin is lifeless
My soul
Removed
Like a hollow case
My body has been emptied
Now that I look at my own reflection
And find myself holding on
To death’s hand….
