"How To Keep Your Woman"
  by TRU-IN-DEED

First off, upon entering the relationship,
you must realize that the time you spend
with her in the present, that alone is a gift
therefore, cherish each moment and make it last
because once she’s gone, she’s gone
and there’s no future in dwelling on the past.
Secondly, understand that she comes first,
And your wants and needs are a distant second.
It’s no longer about you…
it’s about what she needs and what she wants to do.
Third, listen to her,
Fourth, listen to her,
Fifth...
listen.... okay I guess you get the idea,
but be clear,
If you wanna keep your woman near,
You must listen, and not just listen but hear.
It’s imperative that you hear your woman, that’s how you get your info
You find out what she likes, what she hates
And take note of her favorite places, even the basics,
like anniversaries and special dates
see we males don’t often pay attention to details
but those things are so important to females
so, if you can’t remember those things,
write them on a post-it and post it
because showing you care about the little things
is one of the biggest ways to keep your woman the closest
Tell her you missed her while she was away,
Ask her “Honey, how was your day?”
I know “How was your day?” could turn into a 20 minute conversation,
But will escaping that conversation be a consolation
When you’re alone contemplating
why you’re no longer part of her equation?
So leave her voicemails sayin “I love you” when you’re apart
Call her at work just to tell her she’s in your heart
I suggest you tell her how beautiful she looks in that new dress
massage her back and feet when she comes home stressed
Give her flowers for no reason other than the reason being
That you wanna keep her from leavin’
Show her you appreciate what you’ve got ‘cause if not
There are always players on the bench waitin’ to take your spot *
