"Hypocrisy ((Judgement Day))"
  by Ms. Sincerious

She made her way through rush hour crowds
Holding a bible in the air.
From her bible swung hand-made signs
that stated
“Judgement day is almost here.”

Warning Jews & Infidels
That their damnation is drawing near.

She had even scribbled a picture of flames
As if to illustrate
What they had to fear.

She vowed that salvation
would only belong
to those who bowed their heads
in prayer to Jesus Christ.

Those of us who refuse to…
will be condemned
to burn in Hell
for an eternal afterlife.

She cried-
"For it is THEY..
who are the un-repented sinners."

But I could swear
It was she
Who carried the scent
Of fire and brimstone on her breath.

For, she had even
tried to dress like death.

Dramatically draped in black
From head to toe--
A common costume
Of imitation prophets.
And as she kept on ranting..
I’d just wish that she would stop it.

I wondered what it was
That had her feeling
So self-righteous
That she could come
And preach to strangers
About what wrong and right is.

And if judgement
is passed by the Lord..
Who is she to denounce
what their religious plight is?
.
.
.
.
.

As I came to my stop,
And walked off the train..
I couldn’t seem to get
This woman’s message off my brain.

I wondered-
DID SHE HAVE KIDS OF HER OWN?

Then I thought about the way
they'd be raised
and how they would’ve grown…

The honest thought of it
was dismal
And the truth of it,
is such a shame

cuz’ planting deep-rooted ignorance
is the same as Raising Caine…

That’s when it dawned on me—

HYPOCRISY IS ALWAYS VAIN.
