"I Gotta Man Up"
  by Bedo

I just adopted a child. His name is Harley. he just turned 3. his mother recently passed away and his father has no job. so i decided to take him in. theres alot of kidnapping and killing going on in Haiti where he resides at. So i thought it would be best for him to come in the US and start a new life.

God leaned over and asked,
"Whos gonna man up?"
I looked over both shoulders
then finally rose my hand up,
I'm sittin here thinkin
and writin in my pad,
Reality hasn't me yet,
I'm about to be a dad,
I'm only 21 and still feel like a kid myself,
I gotta step up to the plate,
Atleast that's how i felt,
Even though his mama died
I still see his mama eyes,
She tellin me "look after him
and never leave his side"
My feelings, I always hide,
But when she passed,
I cried,
She left a baby boy behind,
Theres no way he can survive,
So I gotta man up,
Imma raise him like he's mine,
Now I'm a father way before my time,
God fast-forwarded my life
And I can't press rewind,
I'm still in my prime
But this has to be a sign
So I adopted a son,
Someone had to stand up,
I guess its my time,
I gotta man up

I can really say that you just brought so many emotions out of me, for one, I'm a single mother of four, who is raising her children on her own, not because the father's not able to but because he refuses to man up... I'm glad that to see that there's still true gentlemen that remain with a pure heart.. Believe me at the end God will really bless your heart.. Thank you for still remaining an honest human being..Much blessing to both of you..
