"I Know..."
  by The Mad Poet

I Know...

My great-grandmother is in heaven
smiling down on us
God called her home to his
pearly white gates
Who am I to question his reasoning
he makes no mistakes
But it still hurts like hell
I'm too choked up to yell
How much grief can one person take
Before they throw in towel
This the second family member to leave
this earth this month
It makes me wonder who's next
You know they say they leave in three's
Could me possibly be me
You never know
when it's your time to go!!

I Know....
My granny loved me with all her heart
She left me with sweet memories
She really was a superwoman
She always spoke her mind
She was truly one of a kind
Time is so short
Every minute that passes
Is a minute you will never see
again
She was a friend
as well as a matriach of
the family tree...

I Know...
She will want me to continue
my journey
Continue to fight through
the fire
Keep reaching higher & higher
Keep smiling in the face of
adversity....

I Know....
She has high hopes for me
She no longer has to suffer
with the pain
She no longer has to taste
the rain
Her beautiful soul is gone
But her unforgettable memories
will always remain.

She has gone to a better place but her spirit is still here on earth with you and she is looking down on you from up above and like you said "She no longer has to suffer with the pain She no longer has to taste the rain Her beautiful soul is gone But her unforgettable memories will always remain." *nods head in agreement*

You have my deepest sympathy and my prayers. I don't know what it's like to loose my grandmother, but I lost my grandfather in August, so I know a little of what you feel. You are so right, God knows all things. Keep your head up and know that your GS family is praying for you.
