"I met a man"
  by Insatiable.vessel

I met a man the other day and
Focused on nothing but the interest in my eyes he said “hello”
And I’m shocked at the initial conversation,
No trynna run game and
None of that “yo shawty whats YO name??!”
Just genuine dialect
Unfamiliar with regular non sexual syntax…
He wasn’t trynna get into my pants??

“so how are you doing?…
How was your day?”

And I stood there with an amazed look on my face
Because “Rare” had to be this man’s first name…
So we continued to converse
With verse after verse of stimulating subliminals
And he never made the attempt to advance at my physical…
The most physical we became was
When he 1st learned my name,
And he took my hand in his.
But he must not know what he’s doin to me
Because I’m startin to feel his…
[Conversation]
Verbal verbiage and content communication
I slip into a world of sensual soliloquy
Verbs and nouns draped with divine intellect
Phrases make a form so intricate

“So can I get to know you?”

And I’d thought he’d never ask
Cuz I’m wantin this encounter to last
For more than just this moment
Learn the extent of his membrane and everything that controls him
To be such a good man,
Not worried about the game
Or getting between my sheets
Or the pipe he TRIED to lay…
Just pure unadulterated conversation…
About his day and mine
And how we spend our free time
Morals and values, life ambitions and fantasies
My background, his childhood and
Why I strive to be me.
…I met a man the other day…
and focused on nothing but the interest in my eyes, he said “hello”
And the passion in his tone tugged at my hips
But he never came at me with anything explicit
And the way he licked his lips right before he flashed his smile
Was everything more than seductive,
And with the intensity in his stare
You think he was undressing my soul
And picturing my naked persona…
His complex mind set attracted me to him more than ever…
And I almost wished he were the predictable man,
Because now I’m lookin for that typical interaction
Coated with physical attraction
But I want to be more than just a sexual session
I’m trynna make a lasting impression such
So when the day is done and he’s wit his boys
Talking about that “one girl” that he met on that “one day”
That just speakin my name makes conversation blush…
Yeah, I met a man…
