I watched the leaves sailing upon the air
above a drooping tree and crystal flow
forlornly watching, wishing I was there
upon a leaf away, to wherever I might go
As my child eyes basked in the sunlight
I held that momentary freedom with all my might

We cuddled watching unicorns prance
as the sky lowered to cover us in its twilight
The stars sang choruses bidding our eyes dance
upon the blades of green serenading the night
There were no shades of dark, no heart to wallow
only glistening red and all sort of wonders that follow
=♥=♥=♥=♥=♥=♥=♥=
I tried to paint the moon a different shade
with red and yellow splashes, a tint of green
easing my brush as the leaves settled and laid
stroking the images that my closed eyes had seen-
a fiery flame that danced, frolicking upon the air
that became the jewelled comb holding back my raven hair

He ran softened hands through my history
as gravity defied and the universe took us home
Living there, amidst the planets and trees, blissfully
where all soulmates are found and no one is alone
There butterflies guide, walking on a fine, quiet evening
and the air is ripe with the scent of spring seasoning

I closed my eyes and saw his smiling heart
as his hand took mine and we, two souls, meld
We, on flying horses flew watching the old worlds depart
embracing one and all as my heart fastly held
The horizon drew nearer, within a grasp of my hand
and smoothly as our flight, our feet to ground, did land
=♥=♥=♥=♥=♥=♥=♥=
We sketched a portrait of each other
as the sunlight danced within loving eyes
seeing none else but the entirety of one another
as each opened chamber bid each pain goodbyes
There where our fingers finally met the horizon
and other worlds were created with, through, and by them

I captured the sun within my hands
twirling it around as a child might a coloured block
and burn did it not, but quickly turned to sand
that fell to the ground in a hazy raindrop
spreading around my feet in a puddle of hue
from orange to grey, to all possible shades of blue
Oh my! WOW! Girl, I wish I could write like this!...the sheer creativity, the utter IMAGINATION it requires to design like this!----I was also reminded of Octavia Butler as I read it, but YOUR words here stand all by themselves with no peer and no superior!
Your Aussie Philosophy took hold of me in the title. The content continued me in the divine direction. i love the4 spiraling, inspiring imagery in this piece. i felt as if You had painted the dark side of the moon & exposed all of its essential emotional elements as the colours unfolded. As far as i'm concerned You succeed, certainly on my screen, in painting the moon with rainbow radiance.
