"If You Were (In My Shoes)"
  by Isis sun

You couldn't fit my shoes
Confiding in me
With unrelentless blasphemy
We
Produced
Two
And yet you think
I'm "too weak"
For three
Please...
Being a woman
Made me exempt
From
I can't connotations--
Thinking after my
Demonstrations of
Fearlessness..
You'd change..
Instead..
You said
My heart wasn't
Strong enough
To tread
These low percentages..
Some beg to differ
Believing in
Miracles manifested
Through hope
They've vested
In me...
She's coming in
8 weeks...
I think it's time
For you to
Believe.

This gave me chills. This speaks of such strength and determination. You spoke volumes when you said "Please... Being a woman Made me exempt From I can't connotations--" speak! This is nothing but the truth. It's sad that you would even have to make this statement as our day to day endeavors provide more than enough proof that we don't put into practice those words. This was a joy to read.
