as images of dream-like beliefs
flutter behind closed soul's eyelids...





silentious sorrows serenade
my eagerness; swept away in tides
of bittersweet contentment

as waves of memories crash upon
shores of near forgotten, hushed whispers
that consoled, alleviated the grief
with hands of fiery stroke

now they hauntingly murmur,
glorifying heart's torn crescendo
before pews of hooded, unseen eyes...





night stilled into darkness
as the clouds blanket in rue
casting upon the earth, its deathly shine

- a berlesque that mocks utopian reverie
as thoughts meet the fists of walls-
silenced! until a deadened pulse
from a heart that bleeds through cracks

with much amplitude it did exhaust
the ends of ev'n endless days
it ceased before its sentiment was seized





a faithless leap of reckoning-
granite heart in submergence
as the maskful joy holds steady

disclaiming the rights of woe
the fringes of soul's capture...
animated with mannequin memories
that tauntingly dance and parade

before the shattering mirrors
like an empty shell masquerading life
as reality dresses its naked belief





every smile wears the face of reproach
as virisimilitude looms before me
retreating, imploring oblivion

apparitions born of dead promises
as the subconscious fear
adorns the wings of wishes and flies!
the requiem sounds as eulogies begin

written across the midnight skies
to the rustic hues of breaking day
"death" comes to all, even love
