So many times, I have shut my eyes and close my heart
Not trying to anticipate every relationship will be a false start
Trying to find that special love
Only to find out years later, I was finding love in all the wrong places
To fill the void in my hearts empty spaces
If only I can find that love I write in my poems
Or perhaps the love Gerald talks about in his songs
But for how long??
How long can I keep my heart from being charred
Funny how whatever is dealt to us, we simply play that card
Without any regard...
But we all go through our trails and errors
Or intrinsic fortitudes that waver the heartbreaks
You have to understand I want to love her...
Like the way I express my emotional scribes
So she can feel the vibe of how I feel inside
Give her that touch that a woman yearns to have
To relish on the life and the times we will forever share
Never confuse her with hints and clues
That would give her any indication of presumptuous views
Let me embrace you the best way I can...
This love is not a fairytale like a Cinderella dance
But I want to make your day...thru your ups and downs
Slips and falls
That we pray...for a family that prays together stays TOGETHER...
That I write about in my poems....
I want you to fill the chills of extreme happiness
Of the words in my poems
And give you that WOMAN'S TOUCH that I wrote in that poem
Because our souls planted the roots, our open hearts contain the seeds
