He makes ripples in my heart
Sending waves of emotions to flow
Causing plagiarized feelings to grab a hold of me
And cause tidal waves of fantasy feelings
To flow through veins and surge to my brain
Like shock waves of electricity
He electrocutes me with just promises of tomorrow
And they hold me like a socket plug
Quenching my need for his energy
With whispers in late night conversations
He peaks my interest
Telling never ending stories like
Mama use to tell
Where his prince Charming would rescue me the Princess
(Half empty)
He brings up images of pretty babies
With his beautiful bright eyes
And my mahogany skin
How they will have his work mechanism
And take up my love for book smarts
And rolled up into one they would dominate the world
Yet the image of that ever happening gets washed away
As this puddle begins to dry away
From the breeze blowing
Evaporating any evidence of our fantasy world
Leaving no trace of our legacy
Every being written into existence
As he forsakenly erases
Little by little
The pieces of my life he once held captive
Into ink blots on a page
Merely nothing more
Than a (Dried up)
Ink well
