Not then
Nor now
Nor am I
Hispanic Black or white
I’m ethnicity bright
Because I am

Poet? Never I
Yes I enjoy to write
But why label
When I am able
To be infinite
Basic & different
Brand me simplicity
Because I am

Writer? Not I
I refuse to comply
This is how we dull and dye
What exactly is a word?
Merely a rhythm of reaction
Floating from your eyes
Gently touching a restless mind
Find me to converse diverse
Because I am

Poet I am not
Nor am I pretty or ugly
I’m not silly or funny
No words combined could emerge
My essence
So don’t sentence me to a sentence
Of what I am
The greatest fault of
Woman and man

And
A lesson of literature
Even words written in scriptures
Divide

So attempt to comply
Why we should never label
Nor debate upon
Potency
