as i open it freezes me
more frozen in time than ice
something dark moves to my sides checking me
waiting
why have i been chosen to see
to know
it works to hurt my eyes that tell no story
MY EYES
my eyes are so tired
and the darkness is so bright
what has happened to my mind
silence falls over me
do i move to remain still
what keeps me here
what keeps me from letting this mask fall
if i show the face behind the smile
it will not be human
but i am already lost to me enough
