with my face lifted towards Heaven
and my heart
prostrate in position
I petition you to allow your Spirit
to freely fall
upon this heart of mine
drenching me with your rain…
and after the ominous presence of sin and darkness
is ushered away
by the magnanimity of your light
let your greatness
be felt in my life
with dew drops securely resting –
baptizing this contrite spirit – making it thine,
for it is no longer just my will,
But I…
just want to have your refreshing dew drops
scattered and sprinkled to saturate
this heart of mine.
