Just listen
As I take you into the mind of a adolescent
Datz asking questions and second guessin' the ones thats tryna teach the lesson
An at their own discretion they don't listen
Until they're placed in that situation
Facin' the consequences of the mistakes their makin'
Then sittin' and thinkin'.....
Like damn if I only listened,
To all the long discussions
But sure enough in my mind its the sounds of a repetition
So steady missin' the moral lesson of the discussion
Till my eyes open and my mind awaken
And one starts to listen.......
To realize I've grown out of the mind of a adolescent
Knowin' I can do better, then those who are doing nothin'
Like go to school, start a profession'....
But thats a different lesson
So I count my blessin's
As I listen
