Little boy lost on a one way street
Feet damp from cold, back sweaty from heat
Wondering which road leads to manhood
Trying to find the right way out of the Hood
So much pressure on one so young and unwise
Listening to hustlers, pimps and crackheads , telling their lies
Little boy lost in this great big city
No parent to run to, isn't that a pity
Wearing a head full of thorns carring a pocket full of sadness
Looking for bus or train fare far away from this madness
Little boy lost take my hand and let me lead you away
He looks left and right not knowing who to answer or what to say
Up above again from the sky drops wings of softness and love
Arms enfold him and take him above
Little boy no longer lost with narry a friend
God in heaven has become his closest friend
