Wandering aimlessly
Disoriented
In a vulnerable state
Desperate for a mirage
A glimpse of hope

No refuge insight
Grasping onto remnants of optimism
Praying a miracle
Mentally drained
Physically deteriorating

Perspiration forming
Soaked in despair
An empty vessel
Combating defeat
Forging ahead without direction

Desolate terrain
Depleted resources
Morale diminishing
Thoughts echoing
Unimaginable anguish

Contemplating navigation strategies
Calculating the demise
Speculating a predetermined fate
Uncertainty resignates


Abandoned
Perplexed
Misplaced
Helpless
Forlorn
Alone
LOST

I never thought of Robin thicke singing this song to a girl he longer has in his arms...while hearing it play while reading your lovely piece...you made the song take a whole new meanign for me...wow

beautifully written, using the desert as a metaphoric element of being lost with love (given the song). good piece
