"Love VS. a Friend"
  by WisH aPon A StaR

We are friends to a limit
and I'm sad to have to admit it
but what do you do when feelings get Mixed in it
& they start to over come you
& you know its wrong
& that You shouldnt be having these thoughts
but you cant fight it cause these feeling never been more strong

& you know you cant show it
but the weight & pressure
of tryin to hide these feeling & emotions
starts to take a toll on your heart

a gapping whole is left in your chest
where your heart once use to rest
& your still forced to repress your feeling that have become so intense
For Fears Of being rejected
and Looked at different

This neverending quest overwhelms your regrets
You start To not care
ready to throw your feelings in the air

but you know in your head
that these feelings have to end
an internal battle
your love vs. a friend
you choose whats best disregarding your happiness

but then jealousy starts to arise within you
thinkin of all the women he's with that could have been you
this plastered smile on your face
your dignity its eating away
a bad attitude is all he's gonna get in exchange

theres so many things running through your mind
& to let these feelings subside
your forced to push him out your life
and the messed up part is that he can never know why
for fears of messing up your friendship
is all thats on your mind

so you come back to him in a cleared state of mind
& emptied feelings
& act like none of this craziness you are feeling

this side of you
you will always hide
two faced
you start to feel like a true gemini

your eyes are shut tight purposely to keep him out your sight & mind
he's intoxicating to you
causing your feelings to grow stronger
the way fire consumes a forest
but thats not good for you
nor him
so in the end the friend wins

& you know soon
your gonna have to prepare yourself for part 2
of Love vs. a friend
cause love never dies
it just gets pushed aside
& it will be back in a short amount time
