This is in the form of a song, but it is still poetic. This will be my first one ever written..it may not be the best, but it was worth a try..

Verse 1:
The silence bounces off your lips like an echo in the dark
Staring silently, I long to touch your soft lips
But knowing that you only haunt me in my dreams
Wishing and praying that you will return to me once more
Because this love was never lost in the hands of time
As the world spins by me faster in a wild blur of color
I cry my lonely tears in the loneliness of my room…

Chorus:
Why does pain unseen hurt so much?
Why do my tears linger in my face?
Can someone save me from this heartache of life?
Erase the wrongs and shield the pain from my soul…
(repeat 2x)

Verse 2:
You used to hold me close and whisper everything will be alright
The connection once felt faded away in the creases of darkness
My once smile fades slowly, leaving nothing but blurry eyes
Scars from the pain you caused my haunt my body
Trying to hide from the world the emotion rollarcoaster we ride
I let myself be fooled by your lies, telling me you would always be here for me…
So angry at myself, staring at the empty pill bottle on the bathroom floor…
