A story leaves us behind
Everyday is written
Deep inside our minds
Our soul is programmed
To feel...

Our minds are stemmed to remember
Our hearts are made to beat...
The blood of joy flows
Lifting our eyes, giving us life

Everyday above the ground
Is a good day...
Another day to live
And tell another tale...

I leave my trace
In the footprints
Within the pages
And through my words

I am a living story
Soon to become a legend
A piece of history
Inside me...I already have heaven

thi swas very interesting and the story behind this was amazing you truly are a young poem and I would love for you to continue writing, this was very good and enjoyable to read, nice work :)

This a great piece. The story behind why we poets write is alway a good one. Very intrueging one. One the mosy often begins from within and works it's way to the surface and spills over onto blank page and parchment, canvan and key boards. I think writing not only brings us lifewe create a liveing soul in and with our words. Well written piece Jenisis.
