When im supposed to be asleep

Y do i wake up in the middle of the night, lets say around 1 or 2am, and already have a poem in my head. That means i have to hurry up and grab my sidekick(PHONE) or pen and paper to write this poem down. I mean, i love to write, but damn can i wait til the morning to get a good poem. LOL.. I dont understand y this happens to me. Its like, my deepest thoughts come to me while im asleep. DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE, OR DO I JUST HAVE SOME SLEEPING ISSUES.. lmao
