Ive come back nearly a year and a half later...it is as it is...still, beautiful

Commented on the poem "Chasing Pavements" on 05/07/09 at 02:36 AM
Conceptually this is quite interesting, giving life to an inanimate object as if it not only guides and leads the way, but suggests a possible outcome. Strange that the pavement we tread always finds its way to us,ubiquitous and as if we were the only ones to honor its suggestion. I personally, think the juxtaposition of concrete slabs and concrete perception is artful...10stars i say:)

Commented on the poem "Sea Shells" on 05/06/09 at 10:59 PM
I must say, even though this has the focus of the shell and the inhabitant, it really draws a closer association to the water which covers it, the waves, the reflectivity, the sustainability all of which give that comfort, to be lovingly absolved int he absolute of the abyss. I LOVE IT ...i still cant remember how to give stars...remind me:) and even then itll be a sad way to recognize your work

Commented on the poem "My Blood That Stains Your Bed" on 05/06/09 at 02:47 PM
After reading and re-reading im pissed cause i dont remember how to leave stars. The process of this poem is revolutionary. To take a place and setting and infuse it with imagery that is not only carnal but sentient is masterful

a little backstory on the concept of Nereis
  May 07, 2009 at 02:54 AM
Nereis is actually a worm, a polycheate marine worm that most call the sandworm. It is hard to think that sometimes the most gruesome and daft ideas could be so compelling as to elicit a poem. However my thought was, and is-that amid all the ways and counters that we would like to define ourselves we are no different than this worm, shining brilliantly for those who wouldnt suffer the indignity of giving a second look. So here is to Nereis-Oh and btw ...their bites hurt like HELL!
