About Me

  -------------------------------------

About Me:
Here I am pouring words like whiskey from a soul decanter, seeking fullness from emptying myself, searching for the bones of Rumi, waiting on wisdom like a virtue physician lying beside Pablo among hills only he could put on paper as we watch God skip burning cold rocks across space. Perfectly, of course.

Sounds like devotion. How does it taste?

You are unfailing, Wonduh. Speak on, brother. That Gil Scot consciousness is what I'm feeling mostly from your list. A little last poets as well, but I haven't made my way to the other voices. If you'd send me a list of people I should look up, it would certainly be a blessing. Love and peace be with you.

Ncognito, your comment sparked a connection for me, bruh. What a lot of people don't realize is what lines HOV and Nas represent from past black leaders. It's the Booker T. Washington vs. W.E.B. Du Bois struggle, basically. I think I'll write a poem that considers the connection. If they knew the history, man, most of these people all on Jay's cocknballs would get up off the knees quick, fast, and in a hurry. Anyway, enough preface... time to write. Love and peace.

Intimate portrayal here. Thank you for sharing this. Can't tell someone who's been through something like this "No use crying..." It is interesting, the things we remember, the things that encourage or stunt our growth. The trials we undergo to become. Love and peace.

Roxie, you know I love you, right? Listen closely: Ncog MURDERED this shit. Sliced it up and stowed it in garbage trucks. I read his shit and was looking around for Sub-Zero, 'cause I could've sworn somebody said "Finish Him!" Slaughter, Ncognito. Cruel and unusual punishment, man.

The Sky Gave Me It's Heart
  August 15, 2008 at 09:53 AM
The sky gave me its heart

because it knew mine was not large enough to care

for the earth the way

it did.

Why is it we think of G-d so much?

Why is there so much talk

about love?

When an animal is wounded

no one has to tell it, "You need to heal"; naturally it will nurse

itself the best it can.

My eye kept telling me,"Something is missing from

all I see."So it went in search of the cure.

The cure for me was His beauty, the remedy--

for me was to

love
