I had this real big freaking huge disagreement with someone. It was freaking terrible. But before I tell you all the question let me give you some background on this guy. Okay he is a Christian in every sense of the word. This guy is always trying to spread the gospel. He goes to church almost evry Sunday, every time the church is holding a Bible Study thing is there on time and on point. Alright so the question that I asked him was: "Do you think that you would be able to marry or date a girl that believes something completely different then what you believe in? Would you be able to date someone thats Muslim or doesn't believe in the Lord?" Okay his response was "no" and mine was "yes". His argument was he wouldn't be able to cope with the fact that his girl believes in something completely different than what he is believing in. He said that it would cause major problems because he'd frequently try and spread the gospel to her and he thinks that maybe she'll get offended by that. My argument was it wouldn't matter. I feel that what a person believes in doesn't take away from the person within regardless of that person's religion. I mean I think that if a person is perfect (I mean this guy or this girl is everything that you look for in a man or woman) religion shouldn't matter. You'll allow your possible soulmate to go away because she's/he's a different religion than you?? I wouldn't.
So my question for my fellow GS poets is: "Does religion matter to you when selecting a mate?"
