About Me:

I'm not a poet in training anymore. I guess you can say I'm starting to take my shit a little more seriously. Everything I've ever written reflects me and how I'm feeling, which is what poetry is generally about. So I'm willing to take my poetry to the next level and give myself a new title. Writing is what I do. I'm not gonna fail in it this time, I'm going to continue what I do best and continue expressing myself through it. Whether it flows or not. Rhymes or not. This is me; a young, black, talented, young woman. Ready to take the next step and ready for anything. I try to do me and stay Tru to myself though Poetry. That's who I am, that's how it's always going to be me. Thus creates the names, Poetry's Tru Lady.
