"My JAzz- written to Miles Davis Blue in Green"
  by justntyme

From Blues to Improvs to poetry readings
from Fuzzy Wednesday's to streetcorners and
your subways
from your blasting hip-hop, reggae and gospel music
WHy.......Dont' you listen to my jazz?

My jazz sends chills up and down my spine
as I become intertwined
with this flowing, everflowing music
no chaos is welcomed, smoothness and elegance
glide over my soul
as I sit and listen to the musicians let it go

This...this music is moving deep in my soul
my relaxation, no fear no stress and lots of control

But why don't you listen to my jazz?
Is there something I don't know?
Whether its Coltrane, Marsalis, Badu or Will Dowing
my jazz has move you like it's moved me and my people

Miles Davis is a jazz legend (that had to be said)!!! To take honor in giving lyrics to timeless music, is very admirable of you. I can tell it must be in your blood!!!

As a man of Music and as a Music Education major brother I gave you mad respect for this intellectual piece. I love the simple flow and mellow groove of this piece. I like how personalize it and called it MY JAZZ. Overall very creative piece really enjoyed it keep it up.

from one jazz affecenado to another, i am most certainly diggin the way you appreciate the genre as described up in this piece. as james blood ulmer once said, "funk is the preacher, but jazz is the teacher. "
